Finally going to expose the kiddos to some Hispanic events YAY!
Thanks to Frugal Philly Mom (who blogs about local events in Philly) I was able to find out about El dia del niño (Children’s day) celebration.
It’s not Children’s day celebration for Mexico(4/30) but for Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay! Typically a celebration consists of candy food and lots of fun for kids.
I’m already just excited to know I’ll be hearing Spanish speaking. This will be our first Children’s day celebration so we shall see what’s in store.
I hope to get the kids involved in a couple activities since we haven’t been doing much lately in the arts and crafts department. I’m also happy little man and little lady may be able to participate in Piñata making. Fun!!!
The event is taking place at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens this Sunday, August 8th from noon to 5pm. Look at one of the many murals from the magic gardens. Aren’t they colorful? I can’t wait to go take pictures of the kids in front of some.
Visit the actual site for more information or Frugal Philly Mom for this event or other Philly events information.
