During our visit to the west coast we enjoyed a lot of traditional mexican meals. In the mexican culture tortillas whether flour or corn are a must but we also forget how important tostadas can be to a traditional dish. We enjoyed tostadas topped with beans, seasoned beef, and even seafood!

The kids were always around during meal preperations and would sneak in for a snack or two. One of their favorites became the big "Chips" I didn't catch it at first but little man was caught red handed after not getting his way. He climbed up on the kitchen table and grabbed the bag of "CHIPS" I thought it was funny and cute at the same time He handed little lady a tostada and said "Here Big Chip" I then realized he's right these do look like big chips when they arent topped with all the yumminess.

Have you ever enjoyed a big "chip" ? What do you like to have your big chip topped with?

On my tostada me gusta: carne molida seasoned with achiote, hard boiled eggs, curtido (Salvadoran pickled cabbage salad), and parmesan cheese.
