Taking toddlers to the movies

Cars2 is out today!!!!!
This is a huge deal. You see, it's been about 2 months that every time we see anything cars related including the movie preview on TV the kids go wild. They yell out "CARZZZZZ"

It's no surprise that little man loves Cars he's loved them since we lived in California. He has plushies, actual cars and ever apparel- the boy has been spoiled. However, over the past weeks or so little lady has showed some interest too. Initially we had planned to only take little man to the movies. We thought Cars would be perfect for his 1st time at the theater. Little lady was to stay at grandma's. I feel guilty though since they do everything together.

My question now is, Do you think an almost 3 and 2 year old can sit thru a movie?
At what age is it safe to say you won't be walking out the theater with a restless toddler?

Well looks like we will be taking the chance to see if we can survive our first time to the movies as a family.

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. I'm so curious to hear how your movie adventure goes! My own kids were each different. My firstborn could sit through movies at 2! But my third--she is 7 and barely made it through Judy Moody this week! Thankfully, we were the only 2 in the theater so I didn't have to keep whispering her back to her seat :) I hope Little Man and Little Lady enjoyed the show!!!

  2. out here in Vancouver we have something called "movies for mommies" where you can go there, they have change tables in the theater, they don't make it as dark as well as lower the volume. Maybe you have something like in your city. I usually just download all the new movies.
