It’s no surprise that this momma is a makeup junkie. I guess that stems from having a strict upbringing. When it came to painting my nails and wearing makeup, My dad was always very strict about having my nails painted ONLY clear. I did experiment with makeup later in my teens but never as a little princess wearing all kinds of funky colors. It’s not until recent that I’ve actually started wearing make up more. At first it was more about collecting it rather than wearing it. That sounds terrible doesn’t?
Little lady is growing up much different than I did. Dad and I are a little more open to letting her create her own and explore. I guess this could be good and bad. She has definitely become quite the diva around here. Yelling “gay-gups mom” “plesh GAY-GUPS” She loves to see me put make up on and she even hands me brushes out of my kit. It’s our new bonding time. It’s cute but I’m wondering if I’ve created a monster.
You see this little princess not only gets occasional pedis by dad on the weekends but she walks around with a little tiara too.
I decided to give her a good taste of what the makeup feels like since we normally just pretend or just add a little blush. I did something I thought as a mom I’d never do. I put eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick on my toddler. She didn’t like how it felt and she really looked like one of those toddler and tiara girls. It was pretty scary however this didn’t stop her from wanting it after i had removed all the gunk.
I’m afraid to say i have a toddler in her tiara here.
