Barbie The Princess and the Popstar RedBox Movie & Craft Night #CouchCritics

Barbie The Princess and the Popstar Movie Craft night Redbox #CouchCritics
Little Lady has become quite the Barbie fanatic so it was a matter of time before the day she would want to see a Barbie movie would be requested. The day came this weekend when we were off to Walmart for a couple of ingredients for dinner.

Our first stop was the RedBox inside our local Walmart to see if the new Princess & the Popstar movie was available.

This was our first time using RedBox. I really expected the process as a first time user to be a lot harder then it actually was. The rental of a movie was very affordable as well I don't know why we didn't try it before!

Little Lady was beyond excited she couldn't even wait for the machine to dispose the  DVD before she grabbed it.

We soon were picking up the things we needed and made a couple stops you can see our whole shopping experience here.

Little Lady wanted to see the Barbie Doll collections and we came across the perfect play dress costume.

I knew this would be a perfect night for crafting since dad was home and he could help.

Little Lady has quite the collection of barbie dolls thanks to some events swag bags so a stage for them to perform on was a must!

We watched the movie Saturday night as a family. I will be reviewing it for CouchCritics and can say that  the message Barbie delivers in this film is such a great motivation and self esteem lifter for any young little girl who is having a hard time accepting things in their life.

Little Lady loved to sing and dance to all the songs. Soon enough we got to our craft where she was playing her her barbies on her own Popstar stage!

You can make one too! Here is what you will need:
Barbie The Princess and the Popstar Movie Craft night Redbox #CouchCritics
-gift box
-Elmer's Foam Board
-Elmers Glue Spots -Medium permanent
-X-acto knife/ or blade (adult help required)
-scissors
-foam stickers (optional)
-Barbie signage printed from internet (optional)

Instructions:
1-measure the width of the stage front according to your gift box onto the foam baord. Be sure to also measure the height next to a barbie You don't want this to be too small your barbies will not be able to peek thru the front stage.
2- ADULT STEP- using the x-acto knife or scissors cut the foam board. Decide what size or design of the middle cut out you want for the front stage and using the x-acto knife pierce and cut thru.
3- Using Elmer's Glue spots attach the front stage to the gift box having the bottom of the box be the top for the stage as pictured above.
4- using the middle cut out piece adhere to the back of the gift box.
5- Decorate your stage using stickers or glitter or anything else you desire.
6-Put on a rocking show on your new stage!

We loved using RedBox at Walmart and plan to purchase Barbie The Princess and The Popstar!
Our Craft was a hit with both of our kids such a great way to continue pretend play with Barbie!

Makes it a lot easier than having to go from Kiosk to Kiosk looking for that one particular movie yanno. I love how creative you are and how you involve the Little's!!
