My husband and Little Man & Little Lady's Daddy as many know served proudly in the U.S. Navy.
Today we celebrated his service and commitment to armed forces thru the Reserves.

I married into the military after the hubs had served 5 years. The hubs was deployed for much of our relationship but soon hit shore duty when we married. The kids and I didn't experience the long deployments of not having dad gone for 6+months at a time. I consider our story a very blessed one.
I don't have many pictures of the hubs in uniform with the kids. He was present at every doctor appointment and both births of our babies. I can't thank you the Navy enough for gifting us those moments that many miss.
The hubs was dedicated, proud and successful in the 8 years he served our country.
He has always been gracious with those that have thanked him for his service and is humble when it comes to sharing what he has done for our country.
I couldn't be prouder to be his wife and for him to be the father of our kids. He is our HERO!

The kids don't remember much of that life so I make it a point to talk about what daddy use to do on a ship when I can. Today while out celebrating at lunch the kids saw many proud veterans it was the perfect time to thanks those around us for their service! It was all about GUBing Thanks!
I hope they learn what dedication these men and women had to be away from their loved ones to fight for us and continue to keep us safe.
Thank you to those who continue to serve our country in the armed forces and to those that have served & especially you Mr. Wright!

amazing! you are VERY lucky! tell him i said thank you for your hard work!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that he was able to be so present from day one. And it's wonderful to continue to teach the children what he has done as well.
ReplyDeleteMy eldest son will be 18 in less than 2 months, and he has plans to join the Navy as well. He is excited for the new journey!
Aw! Hope you had a beautiful day. Love the photos.

Such a nice time to celebrate his courage and dedication. It is not a life many could embrace, but we sure to thank each service person for all that they give, and their families as well!
