I have always loved Legos. As a kid I always wanted to build a Lego set. To me there’s a big difference between taking Lego and getting creative versus following directions and seeing the outcome Both are great but I never had the opportunity to build an actual set based off directions.
As I grew up I always said that when I had kids and they became the right age I would introduce them to Lego. Little did I know that Lego makes bricks from birth to collectors because I just learned that classic bricks can be stacked over Lego Duplo bricks.
My kids love Legos they like story time with Lego Duplo Read and Build. We have all 3 books. After we saw they liked them a lot we decided to get them their own Lego Duplo Set. It was nice to see their imagination flow.
I also began to collect the minifiures. The kids enjoy the surprise of not knowing what minifigure we get.

Now that little man is in the age where he can work with smaller pieces we got him the Young Builders set 3 in 1. I think he’s great at following directions but he sure does lose the pieces fast.Lil lady has fun playing with Lego Duplo Disney sets. She really likes her princess and even makes them dance with my minifigures. I love to hear them play because their imagination runs wild. They know how to build store, cars and playing make believe as a family.

Mom and I enjoy building LEGO CITY and LEGO MARVEL AND DC sets.
I have her hooked on Lego City she even reserved the game for the WiiU.
I believe Lego is great for all ages. It allows us to be creative and explore our imagination. Lego also teaches how to read directions and increase eye and hand coordination.
I am Happy Lego has become a part of our family time.
Do your kids like Lego? What about you, are you a collector?
Check out this cool Lego Infograph I found online.

Ive had so much fun seeing all your lego figure pictures on Instagram. I honestly didn't know that there was so much diversity. Awesome post. I love that the GUB family always has fun playing together. :)
ReplyDeleteOur 13 and 7 year olds are Lego fanatics and I admit, I love watching them build the sets and create their own stuff. I have a soft spot for minifigs so we'll buy sets to get them lol This is a fun post that I know my husband can relate to! P.S. The TMNT sets are pretty awesome. Get you some!
