As many of our readers know, being bilingual is a struggle for me and so I have to force my self to speak Spanish around my kids. Many times I have given up and just ignored the language on its own after becoming frustrated with myself. Being the only Spanish speaker in the home makes it that much harder.. for me at least.
I am on the constant search for things to help me motivate myself and the kids to speak Spanish. I already know they are more then capable of understanding I just have to be CONSISTENT!!!
This week I subscribed to Hulu Latino and I feel like I can pick and choose the shows I want to see instead of figuring out what exactly comes on TV for Spanish programming.
I grew up watching Sabado Gigante and El Chavo del ocho. It’s great to see that my kids and I can enjoy them together and that they can hear Spanish more frequently.
Little man loves Chespirito and so did I as a kid but I have to admit the show is very much an adult show! Oops! Thank goodness he’s just now learning what some words mean.
I hope Hulu Latino continues to add Spanish TV shows especially shows for kids!
Disclosure: This is not a compensated post however it does count as my submission for a contest for HULU. I was also given 2 weeks access of HULU plus for review purposes.
